Setting Up to Play Shuffle your deck, then place it face-down in the Deck zone Both players draw 7 cards from the top of their decks for their initial hand Each player places at least one Basic Pokmon from their hand face-down as their Active Pokmon Each player may place up to 5 more Basic Pokmon face-down on their Bench Each player sets aside 6 cards from the top of their deck face-down as Prize cards Flip over all Pokmon in play and the game starts The player going first cannot attack or play any Supporter cards on their first turn Mulligan If a player does not have any Basic Pokmon in their hand while setting up, after their opponent sets aside the Prize cards, they must take a mulligan
destroy it, then you can destroy 1 Spell/Trap on the field
Additionally, it gives you a free shuffle of your deck, and it helps trim down your deck for later on when pulling a basic land would be less helpful
