The Kalamkari textile used for the coat dates from first half 19th century. Highly decorative it boasts large boteh motifs which run around bottom border of the coat. Chintz motifs decorate the upper chest portion of the coat while smaller scale floral motifs interspersed with exotic birds run down the sleeves. The coat is fully lined with a block printed cotton.
