It depicts children in summer kimono trying to catch fireflies or play with them at night, filled with excitement. This was a common pastime in those days, but now fireflies are rarely seen, and such play is becoming less common. Published in 1957 by Kyoto Hanga in, the artist's signature, "Keiko," along with her
