Damage Doubler is sort of a misnomer in this case because well be looking at cards that buff damage by 1-2 extra points, and a couple that even triple your damage output
The ones that were always errors and never corrected were somewhat cool in their own right but ehh, more of a knowledge enhancement for the card in question
The rule exists because some cards are broken if allowed in high numbers
