The number of 5-plus mana creature spells you can cast in a single turn is very limited, and all that just to get a +1/+1 buff really pales in comparison to the other experience counter legends

Charms first came about because the team realized that there were interesting effects that were too small to be worth one mana
Which is scary because now people are taking magic erasers to them and dulling the gloss
If youve played enchantress decks before, you know how many cards you draw once you get going, and being able to accompany each of those enchantments entering with another land from your hand is going to make your deck that much faster
