Linvala, Keeper of Silence Linvala, Keeper of Silence works as a nice stax piece coming straight from the command zone
One go-to play with this deck is going to be wiping the board, so Avacyn, Angel of Hope might be a good choice if I've got a wrath in hand
Yawgmoth's Will is currently banned in Legacy and restricted in Vintage
Because of how slow our deck is and how few board wipes we run, the lifelink from Cavalier is huge and helps pull us back into the late game and potentially reanimates cards like Knight of the Ebon Legion and Plaguecrafter
Senior game designer Daniel Holt explained that the decision to have each deck themed around one game allowed the team to "dive deep into the lore of each, capturing even more beloved moments from across the games storyline." When asked exactly how Wizards of the Coast came to choose the games that would be included in the crossover (I'm slightly disappointed Final Fantasy 9 didn't make the cut), Holt explained that Final Fantasy 7 and 14 were the clear picks due to their popularity, but that Final Fantasy 6 and 10 were chosen partially due to how many fans of those games were among the Wizards of the Coast team
Chief among these is Vampire Gourmand, which can turn each of the familiars lives into a card, but sacrificing the Familiar to Hungry Ghoul or Eaten Alive feels pretty great too
