A little further on the right we see Elgin House (still there), situated on the south west corner of Lygon and Elgin Streets. To the extreme right of the photo is St Jude's Anglican Church, which still exists today. The street was designed by Robert Hoddle in 1852 and was originally known as Cameron Street. It was later renamed Lygon Street in 1872 in honor of Lord
